Unbox your Modem/Router that has been supplied by SouthCloud.
Power Up.
-> Plug the Modem power cable into a power outlet
-> Plug your ethernet lead (provided with the modem)from the LAN4/WAN (on your SouthCloud modem shown below) into your NBN Termination Device (different technology termination devices shown below) to the designated port assigned from SouthCloud (UNI-D port 1, 2, 3 etc. SouthCloud will need to provide you with this information).
Configuring your SouthCloud modem.
-> Plug your laptop/computer to your modem into any of the 3 LAN ports.
-> Open an internet browser and type the following 192.168.1.1, this action will open Modem/Router Admin Panel.
-> On the landing page, a new password entry is required. This password will be used to grant access to the Modem/Router Admin Panel. Enter password twice.
-> The password is personal to you and not provided by SouthCloud.
-> Click icon ‘Let’s Get Started’.
Quick Setup:
a. Region: Australia
b. Time zone: Your personal time zone for your location Click ‘Next’
c. On ISP list Click select ‘Other’ (at the end of selection)
d. Click “Next’
Quick Setup Continued:
Complete Internet Setup as follows:
a. L2 Interface Type: VDSL
b. Internet Connection Type: PPPoE
c. Username:
FirstNameLastName@nbn.southcloud.com.au
d. Password: SouthCloud will provide this prior to connection date

Click ‘Next’
Wireless Settings
a. Enable Smart connect (Recommended to combine your two Wi-Fi networks into 1) unless you have personal reasons to not do so.
b. Network Name: Your choice for your Network name (broadcasted in your premise)
c. Password: Your choice of password for other devices to connect.
Click ‘Next’
Select the Advanced tab
a. Click Operation to choose your wireless router
b. Select Wireless Router Mode from the options
Click ‘SAVE’
